CloudFest 2025. Impressions and considerations.

As mentioned in my previous article, I visited the CloudFest event, THE NUMBER 1 EVENT WORLDWIDE FOR INTERNET INFRASTRUCTURE (as stated on the organizer's website), which is dedicated to the global cloud computing industry.

CloudFest 2025. The Human Edge. Finding Your Place in an AI World.

The event was organized by the company WHD Event GmbH of Cologne (Germany), which also organizes the MSP GLOBAL event, taking place this year on October 22nd and 23rd, 2025 at the theme park PortAventura near Barcelona (Spain).

The main theme of the 2025 edition was titled "The Human Edge. Finding Your Place in an AI World", as explained by the organizers, "Machines can predict, but humans can imagine. We have moved from the era where we wanted the right answers to the era where we need the right questions."

CloudFest 2025. The location.

The event took place inside the Europa Park Dome and the Europa Park Arena, structures dedicated to events located near the entrance of the park.

Numerous stands were present with event sponsors, numerous presentation sessions took place on various topics, masterclasses and trainings. Here is the full agenda of the event.

According to organizers, visitors numbered over 9.300 from more than 80 nations, there were 188 speakers, and 204 partners were present.

CloudFest 2025. The topics covered.

In this article from CloudFest's blog you can find an interesting summary of the topics covered, where from the beginning the tone of the event is highlighted: 'The Cloudfest 2025 has taken over Europa-Park for a vibrant technology and innovation festival, exploring and celebrating the most important thing in the AI era: humanity'.

A couple of important anniversaries to note:

• The 50th anniversary of the birth of email
• The 40th anniversary of the birth of the .com domain name
• And also the 50th anniversary of the opening of Europa Park!

CloudFest 2025. The Throwing of the Servers.

The "Server Throwing" challenge was very interesting and well attended. 

There exists an official championship called World Server Throwing Championship (WSTC) and events of this kind whip up crowds into a frenzy of hardware destruction and community celebration.

CloudFest 2025. Social events.

The catering was generally of good quality, although I must admit that during the first evening called "Shamrock Shake Party" the food did not convince me much (beer, sausage sandwich and little else), but perhaps the choice of food was due to staying within the theme of the Irish-style party.

Excellent and high quality music performed by the musical groups that were present on stage in the square during the evenings of March 18th and 19th, 2025.

The evening of March 20th, 2025 saw the BierFest held in traditional Bavarian style, a fun and relaxing night marking the end of the event.

CloudFest 2025. Impressions.

The size of the event greatly impressed me, the number of people present, and the services offered (the free shuttle bus, the dedicated app, the celebrations, etc.), as already mentioned in my article about MSP GLOBAL 2024, I must renew my compliments to the organization.

At a personal and professional level, I have been able to meet some interesting people, exchange opinions and simply talk about life situations beyond work.

CloudFest 2025. Considerations.

As already reiterated in other articles of mine summarizing my reflections following participation in similar events (MSP Day 2024, Eroi Digitali 2024, and MSP Global 2024), I am fully satisfied with having participated in this event as well.

It's an event different from others I have participated in; the topics addressed were diverse, and even the type of companies and people present was partly different.

As always, these are moments of personal and professional growth; I believe I will also participate in the 2026 edition.

The event CloudFest USA will take place on November 5th and 6th, 2025 at Ice Palace Studios in Miami, Florida (USA), coinciding with another event NamesCon Global

If you were unable to attend the event, you can sign up for the newsletter and be notified when registration opens (for free) for the 2026 edition, which will take place from March 23rd to March 26th, 2026, once again at the theme park Europa-Park in Rust, Germany.
