Eroi Digitali 2024. Impressions and considerations.

Digital Heroes 2024: impressions and considerations following my visit to the event on 24 and 25 October 2024 in Riccione (Italy).

As mentioned in my previous article, I visited the event Eroi Digitali 2024, the annual meeting of the great community of Nethesis Partners.

In this page, you can find more details and information about "The largest community of Digital Heroes in Italy". If you're interested, you can request to become a Eroe Digitale (Digital Hero) yourself.

Un sacco bello! (Very nice!)

I arrived at the Palariccione on Thursday, October 24th, 2024 around 7 pm, so I did not have the chance to attend the “Camp degli Eroi Digitali” (Digital Heroes Camp), but only participate in the Apericena held in the main exhibition hall titled "Waiting for the Meeting Aperitif".

The following day, October 25th, 2024, the actual meeting day, before the official opening, I sat in the plenary hall and watched some clips from the movie “Un sacco bello”  (Very nice) directed and starring Carlo Verdone, a very funny italian movie from the '80s with some hilarious scenes.

Then I attended the introduction to the event by Cristian Manoni, CEO of Nethesis, who explained the choice of the motto “Un sacco bello”, the image with the half bust of Michelangelo's David (which was not actually the real one, but had been created by Artificial Intelligence) and the entirely Italian concept of "beauty".

The presentation focused on the three concepts of "Beauty according to Nethesis":

  • The Nethspritz: the name says it all, invented by some Venetian customers/friends visiting Nethesis.
  • The Real Job
  • When you said, ‘My job is so cool!’

Among the guests were: Roberto Mercadini, Julio Velasco, Paolo Cevoli, Giovanni Vernia, Fabio Zaffagnini, and as special guest, entrepreneur Oscar Farinetti.

Then there was a dinner followed by a closing party at the Peter Pan disco, which however I did not attend.

Impressions

According to what was declared by the organizer, there were about 900 participants at the event and from what I noticed, there were many people present..

The environment was very friendly and people were willing to chat and exchange ideas.

My impression is that the Community of Digital Heroes is made up of close-knit people who are passionate about their work.

The sponsors' stands were all located on the exhibition hall floor, a choice that certainly favored visits by participants.

Considerations

I am pleased to have participated in the event, I had meetings with interesting people in a relaxed and pleasant environment.

Once again, I reiterate the concept that face-to-face meetings have their own charm and meaning when carried out at longer intervals (quarterly or annually), such as during this event.

"Virtual" meetings, i.e., via email, social media, or online meetings, remain the recurring method for undertaking activities in the business environment.

The catering. Amazing!

The catering was of the highest quality: I later found out by talking to a couple of locals that the service was managed by a renowned restaurant in the area which has an excellent reputation.

The edition of 2025

If you didn't have the chance to participate in this year's event, you can visit the Calendar of Events page or follow Nethesis' social media channels for updates about when the 2025 edition will be organized.
