MSP Day 2025. Impressions and considerations.

This year, as mentioned in my previous article, I visited the event MSP Day,, the Italian event dedicated to Managed Service Providers (MSPs), i.e., companies and professionals who provide managed IT services, which took place on June 5th and 6th, 2025 in Riccione (Italy).

And here we are at 8! The eighth edition of the event was organized by Elovade Italy (formerly Achab), part of the European group Elovade, whose motto is "Helping IT service providers thrive."

Daria Trespidi, Executive Director of Elovade Italy, welcomed everyone and opened the event with the help of Vera Tucci who, once again this year like last year, was the Chairwoman and introduced the people going up on stage to give their presentations.

The first intervention was by Andrea Veca, in his role as Senior Advisor and no longer as CEO (position left at the end of April 2025, for more information please read my article here), whose presentation was titled "The next level of Italian MSPs" and was, as usual, very lively and engaging. Very interesting was the “Vecalogo in 1+4,5 punti” which I briefly report here:

As already noted in my previous article, there has been a change in direction at Elovade Italy and the new managers, Claude Sarkis and Riccardo Ottolina, officially introduced themselves during the Aloha Party held on Thursday evening, June 5th, on the terrace of the fifth floor.

There were 35 sponsors present with their stands and some of their representatives, classified based on the level of sponsorship into Executive, Business, Premium, Smart, and Flash (the latter being a new addition this year).

The stands were once again all concentrated on a single floor where there was the plenary hall and there were catering services.

Numerous presentations were held by representatives of both attending and remote sponsors, taking place in both the main hall and parallel rooms, where various topics were discussed, including Artificial Intelligence (AI)  which now features in every solution and discussion.

Of particular interest, at least to me, was the presentation by lawyer Andrea Barbero held at the end of June 6, 2025, titled "Bringing Sexy Back", or "compliance with digital regulations as a market positioning tool", regarding compliance with European digital regulation, particularly NIS-2, starting from GDPR and arriving at the more recent AI Act, and the opportunities they can offer to MSPs.

AI, AI, and more AI...as mentioned above, it's now transversely present in every solution, presentation, and discussion.

Once again, many 100% Italian companies were present who have nothing to envy in terms of creativity and innovation compared to international companies.

The Vianova group was fully represented, including Qboxmail, an Italian company based in Prato that develops a comprehensive professional solution for managing emails, Host.it, a Turin-based company offering web hosting, domain registration, and cloud storage solutions, Cerbeyra, a Viareggio-based company providing predictive cybersecurity platform to protect people, data, and organizations, Kalliope, a Pisa-based company offering ICT systems for digital transformation (UCC, Industry 4.0, and smart working) and of course, the parent company Vianova, which offers communication solutions for fixed, mobile, and cloud networks dedicated to businesses.

I would like to mention the participation again this year of Deepser, a company based in Schio (Vicenza) that develops the eponymous ITSM solution, which as stated on their website is "The Help Desk software that simplifies your life".

Nethesis was also present, a leading Italian Open Company producer of Open Source solutions for businesses and organizer of the event "Eroi digitali" (Digital Heroes), which will be held on October 9th and 10th, 2025 at the Palacongressi in Rimini, more information here. MSP Day 2025. Considerations.

Once again, I confirm my satisfaction with this event because I believe that events of this type are very useful, both in terms of knowledge/awareness of the IT market and in terms of exchanging opinions, and why not also discussions that address topics beyond the sole scope of IT.

I reiterate once again that face-to-face meetings have significant importance, after all we are "human and social beings". Virtual meetings via email, social media, or e-meetings do not convey the sensory and psychological perception offered by face-to-face meetings.

Very entertaining and engaging was the Aloha Party, Thursday's aperitif held on the terrace of the fifth floor of Palariccione.
