I'll be at MSP Day 2025!

I will be attending the MSP Day 2025 event, which will take place on 5 and 6 June 2025 in Riccione (Italy).

As mentioned last year after visiting the 2024 edition, I will also be attending the event this year, MSP Day, the Italian event dedicated to Managed Service Providers (MSPs), i.e., companies and professionals who provide managed IT services, which will take place on June 5th and 6th, 2025 in Riccione, Italy.

MSP Day 2025. What's new.

And there are some news.

The company organizing the event is no longer Achab, but Elovade Italia. To clarify, Achab was acquired in May 2022 by the German company EBERTLANG Distribution GmbH, but the name remained the same. In June 2024 (here the press release), there was a reorganization of the entire group, led by the German company Elovade Beteiligungs GmbH which has branches in Germany, Switzerland, and Sweden, and the companies of the group changed their names.

Two new developments, actually three, took place in January 2025 - Elovade Italia acquired Avangate Security company, and from April 30th, 2025, there was a change at the top: Andrea Veca left his position as CEO to make way for Claude Sarkis, who will be Chairman of the Board and CEO, and Riccardo Ottolina, who will also serve as CEO. The official press release can be found here.

MSP Day 2025. The Agenda.

You can view the agenda for the two days here.

As you can see, Andrea Veca has not left, but will open the proceedings at 3 pm on June 5th, 2025 with a presentation titled "The Next Level of Italian MSPs."

The agenda consists of main sessions (Keynote Speech) which will take place in the largest hall, Sala Concordia, and parallel sessions which will be held in the first floor halls (Sala Polissena A, Sala Polissena B, Sala Ginevra, Sala Costanza and Sala Violante).

Several topics will be covered, from cybersecurity to AI, even touching upon some seemingly obsolete ones ("the press"), here are some examples: "Ransomware Stories", "MDR for MSPs", "Why Vulnerability Management is Fundamental in a Cybersecurity Strategy", "IT Migration: Journey to the Edge of the Data Center", "Printing Without Worries", "Order and Security in Credential Management", "Efficiency and Savings: The Use of Hybrid and Refurbished Hardware in Artificial Intelligence", "Protection and Growth: The Role of MSPs in Corporate Cybersecurity", "100% Italian-made Software PSA that boosts your MSP Business", "Protect What Matters: Securing People Behind Screens", "Why Hasn't Europe Invested in Technology for 50 Years and What Does This Mean?" , "AI and Emerging Trends: Being Concrete, How to Make Money From It", "How XDR Transforms Modern Cybersecurity", "Threat Intelligence, Evolution of Tools and Token Theft: Practical Guide for MSPs in 2025", "Beyond Protection: Visibility, Context and Speed in Modern EDR".

I would like to quote the intervention of Andrea Barbero, Lawyer and University Professor, which will take place in Sala Concordia from 5:40 pm to 6:10 pm on June 6th, 2025, titled 'Bringing Sexy Back: Compliance with Digital Regulations as a Market Positioning Tool' and will discuss adapting to new IT regulations (GDPR, NIS2, and AI Act) and how it can become a "tool to make your company more attractive to the market".

The second day, namely June 6th, 2025, will conclude around 6:40 PM after the awards ceremony, which will take place in the Sala Concordia, followed by the final toast.

MSP Day 2025. The Sponsors.

There will be 34 sponsors present with their exhibition stands and some of their representatives will hold sessions. The sponsors are divided by levels of sponsorship (Executive, Business, Premium, Smart, Flash).

This year, I have noticed even more than last year, the presence of "historic" names in the field of security, such as Bitdefender, ESET, Kaspersky, and Avast.

MSP Day 2025. Social events and catering.

Importance is given to social events such as Aperitifs, Lunches, and Coffee Breaks.

The Aperitif Dinner will take place on June 5th, 2025 from 7 pm to 11:30 pm on the Terrace of the 5th Floor of PalaRiccione.

Welcome Coffees and Coffee Breaks are interesting opportunities for exchange and conversation, it should be noted that there isn't only classic "coffee", but really everything...worth trying!

Noteworthy is the catering which, in the past two years (2023 and 2024) that I have participated in the event has always been of excellent level, and I hope it will be so again this year!
