it-sa Expo&Congress 2025: impressions and considerations following my visit to the event on 8 October 2025 in Nuremberg (Germany).
As mentioned in a previous article, I visited the it-sa Expo&Congress event, ‘The Home of IT Security’ (as stated on the organiser's website), which is the largest IT security trade fair in Europe and one of the most important platforms for dialogue on IT security solutions.

it-sa Expo&Congress 2025. Facts and figures.
The event was organised by NürnbergMesse GmbH at the exhibition centre in Nuremberg (Germany), a company that organises numerous other trade fairs in various sectors.

The event took place in 5 halls (6, 7, 7A, 8, 9) and exhibitors covered the entire range of products and services in the field of IT Security: hardware, software, training and consulting services, as well as Security as a Service.

The 2025 edition of it-sa Expo&Congress set new records with 28,267 professional visitors (+9%) from 64 countries and 993 exhibitors spread across five halls.

The most important topics addressed in the presentations were:
- cloud and mobile security
- data and network security
- critical infrastructure protection
- industrial security

There was also a section dedicated to start-ups (ATHENE Startup Award UP@it-sa), with awards given to young companies that presented exceptional innovations in the field of IT security.
it-sa Expo&Congress 2025. Exhibitors.
As mentioned above, there were numerous exhibitors, some well-known, others less so.
I will not dwell on all the companies and solutions on offer, partly because I was only able to visit the event on one of the three days, but I will mention here just a few companies whose representatives I had the opportunity to chat with.
Worthy of note was the Czech Republic stand organised by the Czech Ministry of Trade and Industry, where there were some interesting companies whose managers I had some interesting chats with, such as:
- Redamp: all-in-one NIS2/Security/IT management compliance platform
- GoodAccess: Zero Trust architecture for secure access (ZTNA) and NIS2 compliance
- Penterep: penetration testing solutions
Of course, there was also a bar serving "pivo" (beer), with a few cans scattered here and there on some tables and at the stands of the exhibiting companies.

I was also impressed by Riverbird, a company based in Ulm (Germany), which presented RiverSuite, a remote monitoring and management platform available in both on-premise and cloud versions. In addition to MSP-enabled software (made in Germany), it also includes other features such as Inventory, Monitoring, Patch Management, Security, and a new extension called Falcon Secure, which allows for the Analysis and Remediation of vulnerabilities in IT environments.
it-sa Expo&Congress 2025. Impressions.
The event was impressive to say the least. It is truly striking to see so many stands, well-known and lesser-known exhibiting companies, and so many people.
I would like to express my sincere congratulations to the organisers and to all those who have worked (and continue to work) to create an event of this size and quality.
I also intend to analyse the activities (at least some of them, those that might be of interest to me) that take place throughout the year, namely the it-sa 365 Dialogue Platform.

As I have already written several times in my articles on this blog, on a personal and professional level, I had the opportunity to meet and talk to some interesting people. The atmosphere was not as relaxed as at other events, partly due to the crowds of people passing by, but it was still convivial.
it-sa Expo&Congress 2025. Considerations.
I am pleased to have participated in the event as I believe that these occasions always provide opportunities for personal growth, both in terms of knowledge/perception of the IT market and in terms of personal relationships: face-to-face meetings with people in the sector are certainly very different from “virtual” meetings via email, social media or e-meetings.
