Forum ICT Security 2025: impressions and considerations following my visit to the event on November 19 and 20, 2025, in Rome (Italy).

As mentioned in a previous article, I attended the Forum ICT Security 2025 event, which, as stated by the organizers, is “a privileged vantage point for analyzing the dynamics that are redefining the corporate cybersecurity landscape. It brings together institutions, cutting-edge academic research, operational implementations, and new regulatory frameworks, offering a multidisciplinary perspective on future technological macro-trends”.

Forum ICT Security 2025. Facts and figures.

The event was organized by ICT Security Magazine, the “leading Italian IT security magazine, active for over 20 years, dedicated exclusively to cyber security and business continuity”, which also organizes the Cyber Crime Conference (here is the link to the 2025 edition) held every year in April.

The Forum ICT Security event, held at the Auditorium della Tecnica, reached its 23rd edition this year and saw the participation of the Italian security community (companies, professionals, and industry experts) over two days packed with content.

Forum ICT Security 2025. The agenda.

As mentioned in the article, the program took place over two days, November 19 and 20, 2025, and was very intense: at the beginning of the two days, two round tables were held:

  • “Cybersecurity, Innovation, Governance, and Future Scenarios” which analyzed the Italian digital security ecosystem in light of the main technological and regulatory developments.
  • “NIS2 & Beyond” which explored the impact of the NIS2 Directive and how, for example, ACN (National Cybersecurity Agency) is working to support organizations in complying with the new EU rules.

During the two days, numerous presentations were held in which speakers (teachers, researchers, business people) addressed topics such as: the state of global cybersecurity, current and future scenarios opened up by AI, the advent of quantum computing, the current risk landscape, and innovative solutions for strategic defense against increasingly sophisticated cyber threats.

Forum ICT Security 2025. Exhibitors.

There were a number of exhibitors, all located in the long hall just after the entrance.

There were some big names in cybersecurity present, as well as a few lesser-known companies that presented some innovative and interesting solutions. I will mention just a few that particularly impressed me: Beliven and Fastly.

Special mention goes to Aretek, an Italian software distributor, represented by its CEO, Massimo Iannilli, who wanted to celebrate 10 years of business by hosting a aperitif on November 19, 2025, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the end of the first day's proceedings.

Forum ICT Security 2025. Impressions.

The event was interesting, and I was particularly impressed by the quality and quantity of the presentations that took place over both days.

I would like to express my sincere congratulations to the organizers, Romina Rakaj in particular, and to all those who worked hard (and continue to work hard) to make this high-quality event a reality.

As I keep repeating in my Blog posts and also in person, both personally and professionally I have had the opportunity to meet and talk with some interesting people.

Forum ICT Security 2025. Considerations.

I am pleased to have participated in this event. I had heard good things about it in the past, as well as about the other event mentioned (Cyber Crime Conference), as I believe that events like these lead to personal growth, both in terms of knowledge/perception of the IT market and in terms of personal relationships.

Among other things, I had the opportunity to reconnect with someone I hadn't seen in at least 10 years, which made me very happy.

Forum ICT Security 2026 (and Cyber Crime Conference 2026).

If you were unable to attend the event and would like to stay informed about IT security, you can subscribe to the ICT Security Magazine newsletter and be notified when it is possible to register (free of charge) to attend the 24th edition, which will be held in November 2026, and also the 14th edition of Cyber Crime Conference, which will be held in April 2026.
