Attiva Incontra 2024: impressions and considerations

Activate Incontra: what it is

Attiva Incontra is an Italian event organized by Attiva Evolution, the business unit of Attiva S.p.A. designed to position itself in the market as a Value Distributor, and dedicated to partners who, as stated on the dedicated page, want to "go beyond the cybersecurity horizon: the latest technologies, trends for the future, managed services growing at double-digit rates, artificial intelligence driving a revolution".

Lorenzo Zanotto, head of Attiva Evolution, and Marco Maria Lorusso #Sergente, independent journalist who “stumbles” into the digital world and gets swept away by it, kicked off the event and presented the day’s program.

This year, a new format was followed, involving the managers of the present vendors who delivered brief presentations of 8-10 minutes.

In the afternoon, some workshop sessions with vendor managers were held, which were booked by interested partners.

Impressions

My impression was positive; the event flowed well, and the brief presentations held in the morning were very engaging and direct.

I had some contacts with interesting and nice people, exchanged opinions, and had the opportunity to enrich my knowledge base.

Numerous vendor booths featuring top names such as Apple, N-Able, Kaspersky, Acronis, Nakivo, Atera, Watchguard, and SONICWALL, offering a broad and comprehensive range in the field of Cyber Security.

Interesting the presence of some Italian companies, such as Reevo ("The digital safe for European businesses"), Cerbeyra ("Enable freedom through predictive security", brand of Vola S.p.A., company of the Vianova S.p.A. group), Syneto ("Simplify operations, accelerate processes, and protect data") with its division Orizon, a very promising and revolutionary startup project ("significantly reduce the risk of intrusions, meticulously safeguard vital data, efficiently detect anomalous behaviors, and quickly contain incidents").

I was particularly impressed by Ermetix, a platform for UEM (Unified Endpoint Management), EMM (Enterprise Mobility Management), and MDM (Mobile Device Management) that also integrates Mobile Threat Defense (MTD) services, i.e., protection services, enabling companies to manage, monitor, and protect Android, iOS, and Windows devices (and soon also macOS), all through a single web platform.

Ermetix is a Software as a Service (SaaS) entirely developed in Italy by the company XNOOVA.

Considerations

The event took place in the evocative setting of "Ruote da sogno", a very interesting place for car enthusiasts (and not only) and very "lively".

The experience was also in this case useful and constructive: every event or meeting where there is the possibility to acquire information and exchange opinions with people stimulates new ideas and projects and enriches personally and professionally.
